ACPE should continue to be not only a great place for management and leadership education, but also the primary professional home for problem and solution sharing for physician executives.  ACPE should also contribute to the ongoing dialog about how to meet the challenges of healthcare reform facing our nation.   A board certified Family Physician, I completed a career in the United States Navy, and have continued to work in the Department of Defense as a civilian employee.  I have held numerous leadership positions at the hospital committee, department head, director, COO and CEO level.   I have more than a decade of experience advising DoD leadership on clinical policy for the Military Health System, which serves more than 9.5 million beneficiaries worldwide.  Board experience:  DoD liaison to the Leapfrog Board, and a term on the Board of Directors of the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians.
