Guidelines for Authors
The Physician Executive journal welcomes articles on topics about the medical management profession. All submitted materials are reviewed by experts in the subject area. Any topic that deals with medical management or with health care delivery from a medical management perspective will be considered for publication.
All manuscripts should be submitted as an attached file to e-mail, and should include an abstract describing the article. It is helpful to include case studies, examples, applications, and recommended resources, such as additional reading on the subject and related Web sites. Recommended length is 2,000 words.
Articles should be written in Microsoft Word or ASCII format and e-mailed to bsteiger@acpe.org . Files may also be mailed on CD or diskette to: Bill Steiger, ACPE, 400 North Ashley Dr., Suite 400, Tampa, FL 33602.
Manuscripts and disks will not be returned. Only original manuscripts are considered. However, a new article that expands on issues raised in other articles, books, or speeches is acceptable. Graphs, charts, photographs, and other illustrations are encouraged.
The review process requires 6-8 weeks. The editors notify authors of the results of review and of the tentative publication date as soon as it is known. All accepted manuscripts are subject to editorial revision.
