Frequently Asked Questions
What types of programs and speakers are available?
ACPE provides education in a wide range of health care management and leadership topics. We have worked with physicians and their organizations for over 25 years and our staff can help you customize any of our programs to meet your needs.
OnSite faculty represent top organizations and institutions across the country. Most are university professors or professional speakers and consultants, though we also present practitioners who are experts in their fields.

Can the speaker customize the program to meet my organization/audience/topic needs?
Absolutely. In consultation with ACPE staff and with the faculty, you tailor the program to meet your needs. We have sample programs to help you get started.

Do you have evaluations of the speakers from past presentations?
Yes. ACPE staff will be happy to share past audience evaluations of any speaker you are considering.

How far in advance must a program/speaker be booked?
Ideally, a program should be confirmed at least 2 months prior to the start date. This is to assure the faculty's availability.

Can a program be scheduled at night or on the weekend?
Yes, we will work to schedule programs to meet your scheduling needs. Occasionally a particular faculty may not be available during the weekends or evenings, but we can most likely find another faculty to speak on your chosen topic at your chosen time. Programs also can be spread over several weeks or months. For instance, every other Friday for two months; the first Monday of every month, etc.

What is the cost?
OnSite Education programs typically range from $6,000 to $9,000 per day/per faculty member. This includes faculty honorarium and expenses, program materials, CME credits, and the program evaluation. This saves about $6,000 over sending 20 of your physicians to a public ACPE program. Visit our budgeting tips for details and other budgetary considerations.

Is there a minimum/maximum number of participants?
There is no minimum or maximum number of participants. A maximum of 100 participants best accomodates adult learning dynamics and interaction with faculty members. We do not recommend more than 100 people as high numbers can interfere with adult learning dynamics and interaction with faculty members. There is an additional per person charge for participants over 40 people.

Are CMEs available?
Yes. The American College of Physician Executives is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
